About me
Welcome to New Seasons Nutrition!
I am Kavya Veerasekaran, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) based in Manjimup, Western Australia.
After completing my Master’s in Dietetics in 2021, I have spent the past four years living and working in rural communities. I am passionate about supporting people to make realistic, accessible lifestyle changes that are tailored to their medical conditions, personal circumstances, and everyday lives.
I have a particular interest in supporting people living with chronic health conditions, as well as women’s health across different life stages, where nutrition care needs to be flexible, supportive, and ongoing.
Services
The first session is all about understanding you. Rather than jumping straight into advice, we take the time to explore your health history, lifestyle, eating patterns, and personal goals! This way I really get to know you as a person and your unique challenges and strengths.
After the session, you’ll complete a brief food diary so I can gain deeper insight into your daily habits and nutrition patterns. At your first follow-up appointment, we’ll review a personalised nutrition report and identify the key areas we’ll focus on together in future sessions.
This approach allows your care to be tailored specifically to you and supports meaningful, sustainable changes!
Follow-up appointments are designed to review your personalised nutrition plan and focus on the key areas identified during your assessment and food diary analysis.
Together, we’ll work through practical strategies to support sustainable changes to your eating patterns, lifestyle, and health behaviours. Each session focuses on specific skills or topics tailored to your needs, such as building balanced meals, managing hunger and cravings, improving meal structure, or navigating emotional eating.
These sessions provide ongoing guidance, accountability, and adjustments to ensure your plan continues to work for your lifestyle and goals.
My Philosophy
I believe in sustainable change, not short-term fixes or rigid rules.
Nutrition needs change across different stages of life, health circumstances, and seasons. What worked for you at one point may not work at another, which is why I take an individualised, flexible approach to care, empowering you with the skills, knowledge and tools to be able to apply nutrition principles throughout life.
Rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on:
Supporting realistic, sustainable changes over time
Providing personalised guidance that adapts as your life changes
Meeting you where you are, not where you feel you “should” be
Offering ongoing support and accountability between appointments
In-person and remote options
I am located at “The Meeting place” opposite the Manjimup Family Centre. You enter from Bath street.
